The Las Vegas K9

6 Week Training Course

By the end of the program, your dog will exhibit behaviors akin to a service dog, if not surpassing them. They will promptly respond to a variety of commands, including “Come,” “Heel,” “Sit,” “Down,” “Stay,” and “Place,” whether instructed through vocal cues or body language. Moreover, your dog will demonstrate proficiency in executing these commands without the constraint of a leash, even in bustling public spaces like parks, casinos, and stores. However, it’s advisable to exercise caution when allowing your dog off-leash, as certain locations may prohibit it and for the safety of your beloved companion.

Additionally, your dog will learn to sit upon the opening of doors, be it at home or when entering a vehicle, exhibiting good manners and adaptability in various environments. Furthermore, they will exhibit commendable behavior both within the confines of your residence and during car journeys, ensuring a harmonious coexistence between you and your furry friend.

Included: E Collar, 4 Hour Private Sessions, CGC Group Classes, CGC Test.

After the 6-week Board and Train, you can expect your dog to come home with a solid foundation in obedience, improved manners, and the ability to follow commands both at home and in public. The program also helps address behavioral issues such as pulling on the leash, jumping, or not coming when called.

It’s important to remember that training is a partnership. Once your dog goes home, we’ll provide you with the tools, guidance, and follow-up support to make sure you feel confident continuing the training. Consistency at home is key for long-term success.

In addition to our 6-week Board and Train program, we also offer 2-week and 4-week options. Each program is customized to fit your dog’s needs and your training goals. Some dogs may benefit from shorter or longer stays, and for owners who prefer a more hands-on approach, we also provide private training sessions.

Commands – Come, Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, and Place, with both voice commands and body language  in public areas with distractions (Airport, Casino, Restaurant, Shopping Mall, etc)

Door Manners – Your dog will sit when the door/car door is opened

Car Etiquette – how to behave during car rides

Indoor Etiquette – respect the indoor environment

Corrections – stop any bad behavior

Socializing

No, protection training is not part of our advanced Board & Train programs.

Our 2, 4, and 6-week programs focus on obedience, manners, socialization, and behavior modification.

If you are interested in bite work or protecting training, that is a separate service we offer. Humberto conducts evaluations to determine if your dog is a good candidate and explains the process in detail. The evaluation is $100, and it can be applied toward a Board and Train program if you choose to move forward.

4-Week Program

Best for dogs who need help with foundational obedience (sit, down, place, recall, leash manners)

Great for young dogs, dogs with minor behavioral issues, or families mainly seeking basic training and structure

Provides a strong foundations, but some dogs may need follow-up or additional training at home

6-Week Program

More advanced and comprehensive

Includes everything from the 4-week program plus advanced off-leash reliability, stronger proofing in real-world environments, and more time to address behavioral challenges

Ideal for dogs with more stubborn behaviors, reactivity, or owners who want maximum results and a smoother transition back home

Gives your dog extra time to practice, build consistency, and strengthen training habits

In protection training, your dog will learn how to channel their natural drives into controlled, structured work. Training focuses on building confidence, control, and obedience while introducing protection skills. Depending on your dog’s ability and training goals, this may include:

Drive development – building focus, confidence, and engagement with the handler

Controlled barking and guarding – teaching the dog to show presence on command

Out/release command – letting go on command, maintaining control at all times

Handler protection scenarios – responding to threats in a safe, controlled environment

The goal is not to create and aggressive dog, but a confident, stable, and controllable one that understands when and how to work under your direction.
